Welcome to a new podcast we are launching, called the Redwood Empire Pedalcast. The Pedalcast is a regional podcast that focuses on riding in Northern California. We figured that the area is rich enough and diverse enough in riding terrain, events, companies and population that it deserves its own podcast.
We’re defining our territory as from the coast inland to Sacramento and from as far south as Monterey to as far north as … well we were going to say Fort Bragg, but practically speaking, we’ll be excited to talk about anything up to the Oregon border.
In this episode we introduce ourselves, talk about the upcoming opener for the Grasshopper Adventure Series, Old Caz. We talk a bit about our respective histories in Northern California and our love for the terrain in the Redwood Empire.
Nick Nesbitt, the chairman of REMBA, the Redwood Empire Mountain Bike Alliance, gives us a little report from the mountain bike advocacy world.
Our final segment is a look at the upcoming calendar with events like the Grasshopper Series, the Chico Stage Race, the NorCal League’s beginner clinics and a terrific gravel event called the Rock Cobbler.
The Redwood Empire Pedalcast is sponsored by Bike Monkey, Trail House and Trek Store Santa Rosa.
