Well, here we are on the eve of the Tour of Flanders, the legendary race of Flandrian cobbled climbs (as opposed to Paris-Roubaix which races over flat cobbles). Flanders is less a war of attrition than Roubaix, instead rewarding pure power and strategic nous. It’s a good watch, if you can find it.
If you have not been watching up to this point, then you won’t know that on the men’s side, team Jumbo-Visma has more or less dominated the spring races so far, winning with Wout van Aert, Christophe Laporte, Dylan van Barle, and Tiejs Benoot. On the women’s side, it’s been more open, but team SD Worx has three wins from Lotte Kopecky, Demi Vollering and Marlen Reuser.
