I became aware of the Women’s Freeride Movement via friend and TCI contributor Christina Sinkovec. Cursory research turned up this little nugget of riding joy. Here’s a group of women teaching and encouraging each other to get rad as fudge.
I’m not a freerider myself. I don’t huck. I don’t whip. BUT…one thing I thrive on, as a cyclist, is the energy other people bring to their riding, and this video is a great example of that. “Fear is a gap of understanding,” we hear at the beginning. Then we get to see a bunch of women closing that gap.
