It’s billed as the toughest cyclocross race in the world, but the Three Peaks Cyclocross is not like any cyclocross race you’ve seen, and it’s not like any gravel race you’ve seen either. Staged in the brutal climbs of the Yorkshire Dales in England, Three Peaks has been going off since 1961, and it is a thing unto itself.
It’s an icon.
This part of the UK is arguably the spiritual home of British cycling (as well as Fell running, the forebear of modern trail running). The terrain is rugged, brutal, beautiful, and once you get a look at this race, you’ll either put it on your bucket list (it’s on mine) or shake your head and wonder why humans are so stupid.
Awesome
