This is a look at how American professional ‘cross racer and journalist Andrew Juiliano trains on the golden sands of California’s Central Coast with a race season in jeopardy. It’s a way to keep his motivation going. His dream is to once again return to the famed dunes of the Koksijde World Cup in Belgium, that is the inspiration for this magical video that showcases another side of the beauty of cyclocross and the dedication it takes to excel. The words are his, a poem he wrote to celebrate all that is cyclocross and a season lost.

How hard do you train?

We hope you like TCI. If you’re here, we’re friends. Having said that, we can’t do this the way it needs to be done solely as a labor of love. If you get a lift out of our work, help us keep it going by subscribing now. It’s cheap. Like a small Slurpee. Or a ten pack of tube socks.
