A Useful Review – Giordana Warmers

With the looming departure of daylight saving time, I decided to take a look at some warmers for colder weather. My pick this week are the arm, knee and leg warmers from Giordana. In the past, one of my pitches for these would have been that seemingly every bike shop in the US had an account with Giordana. That’s not so much the case now, but even so, I’ve chosen the Super Roubaix Warmers from Giordana for a specific reason.

I hear from friends—especially women—that many warmers are just too long. Good arm warmers shouldn’t run from your armpit to your knuckles. Of the many warmers I’ve worn over the years, Giordana’s run the shortest. Their arm warmers run from my wrist to a bit more than an inch beneath a short-sleeve. That’s handy for a changeable day because it doesn’t take much to hook a thumb under the arm warmer and pull it down.

Their leg warmers run from the top of my ankle to about 2 inches beneath the leg of average-inseam bib shorts.

They feature gripper elastic at the top hem and the leg warmers include zippers to get them over your feet. The logo is reflective.

The arm and knee warmers go for $50 and the full leg warmers go for $70.
