Video: Namur Cyclocross

The Namur World Cup Cyclocross Race has long captivated me because its course seems brutal, even by cyclocross standards, which is saying something. From the cobbles included to the off-camber hill traverse, it looks like a single lap is difficult on that course. Racing it for an hour? Holy gumballs Batman. This is the Men’s Elite race is above, the women’s below.

I’m Cat 5 pack fodder. Lanterne rouge is always a possibility. I typically race for 30 minutes. Did a 45 minute race at Ommegang brewery outside of Cooperstown this past fall. I wanted to die. It was, for me, a hard course and I increased my workload by 50%. Oh, did I mention I don’t really train for it? lol.
When I watch the pros and the courses they ride, I wonder if I could complete two laps n a half hour.
