I spent some portion of the summer following Erick Cedeño (aka the Bicycle Nomad) via social media, on another of his most excellent adventures, this time retracing the route of the Bicycle Corp of the Buffalo Soldiers in 1897 from Missoula, MT to St. Louis, MO. That’s 1900 miles. Think about what that means on a loaded touring bike. Then think about what that means on the bikes of the day in 1897.
What I know about Erick is that he is a deep thinker, a committed adventurer, a strong rider, a thought leader, and one hell of a stylish guy. He has an open way about him that draws people in. Here is a gorgeous video and a great story from one of cycling’s gems.
