I’ve never been to Scotland, but I find myself deeply attracted to wild, green spaces, and the Scots seem to have a few of those laying around. This video demonstrates the sort of adventure I’d happily sign up for, and the sort of place I’d happily ride around in all day.
A Bothy is basically a remote hut, boasting not a lot in the way of amenities. It’s a place to get out of the weather. Maybe it has a fireplace. Maybe it just has a roof.
The filmer is Alastair Humphries of Microadventure fame. A lot of his ideas resonate with me, especially the urgency of living now and mostly outside. I hope you enjoy it.
