The birth of mountain biking is long on photos but short on video, though it is at least recent enough to enjoy some video. The TV show Evening Magazine did a segment on “Klunking” which was what mountain biking was called in the before times. Honestly, it’s a better name, but that’s not what makes this video so cool. It’s cycling long on adventure, long on culture and short on b.s. This is life without grownups, trail closures or the UCI. Life should be more like this.
