The Customer Isn’t Always Bright. Expectations are the enemy of happiness, which is why the Amazonification of customer service has ruined a lot of people. They want everything now. They want a refund on it before it’s been shipped. They want a tracking number and a thank you note and a discount. But we’re all just strung out on digital currency and the hollow wish that a new blender will solve all our problems, if only we could have it yesterday.
Music pick of the week:
Robot – Steel Pole Bathtub – The Miracle of Sound in Motion
Stevil – Handsome – S/T

Robot, you got it right about Hartford. No one lives there and the biggest output is insurance. That being said when the city hosted CX Nationals I had a great time. And like the person you saw picking up butts, the hosts were all super jazzed to be putting on the event. Back in the nineties it was an easy place for my friends and I to check out all the mega bands at the Hartford Civic Center. The ones I remember included Rush, Van Hagar (Alice In Chains opening!), Iron Maiden(!) and sadly The Grateful Dead.
Stevil says people are the problem—“we’ve ruined everything in 200 years.” That timeline lines up pretty close to the birth of capitalism. Robot says there are too many people on the planet…I disagree. There’s too much capitalism on the planet. But I’m almost 40 and I chop cabbage for a living so probably don’t listen to me.
People are fine. Capitalism is a death cult. We’re all fucked.
Hey Stevil, Don’t worry about stopping in Lincoln on your way to Colorado… We don’t need you to have fun.
Cheers!
