Lightning in a Bottle, Thunder in a Can. We’re taking a break from the deep, philosophical explorations this show is known for to reengage with our monkey brains. It’s another lightning round of questions that don’t really deserve answers, though those are exactly the questions this podcast was designed for.
Music pick of the week:
Robot – Tongue Party – Looking for a Painful Death
Stevil – These Arms Are Snakes – Duct Tape and Shivering Crows

I’m sorry, I really am.
But if we are going to get borderline pedantic to maintain correct pronunciation of Louisville, there’s just 2 things niggling at me:
It was Francisco Goya that painted ‘Saturn Devouring His Son’, not Velázquez.
And again, i’m sorry.
It’s pronounced Schee-Luh

Respect
Yes. I recalled after the fact that it was Goya. I think we can agree though, it’d look sick over my fireplace.
(Un)Fortunately, we’re not on the curriculum at any Art History programs. Yet.
First of all, it took me way longer than it should have to figure out how to log in here. Secondly, my best day on a bike? Ever? Probably riding BMX, all over central Ohio. Street stuff all morning, trails all afternoon in to the evening. It may be the best because it’s one of the handful of times I can remember riding BMX and not getting totally broke off. And Stevil’s buddy has it right. The best skaters in the world are the ones you share a session with.
I’ve regularly been admonished by Louisvillians regarding the pronunciation of the city, so my effort is for them. Personally, I don’t especially care.
Secondly, in 1994 I asked the woman running the Scheile museum in Tulln the correct pronunciation, and apparently she gave me a bum steer. Thank you for the correction.
