John has been injured … for entirely too long. He’s taken some time off the bike to recover and he’s about to turn the pedals again and he has realized that’s he’s daydreaming about riding. Two points regarding your mutual pulls. First, is that I’ve mentioned on numerous occasions the plethora of pirate trails I am surrounded by and once again if you find yourself in ATL with a minute for a ride I will show you some rather dope secret stashes. These are chock full of technical segments which are simply part of the trails. You can session them or keep going as there is always more. Second and related to this is the concept that no one likes climbs. I was in that camp forever, but a shift for me occurred for me five plus years ago when I went back to riding flat pedals. These make climbs more than just a toll to pay for the downhills. Climbs become a puzzle when you aren’t clipped in and require an entirely elevated level of engagement. I now look forward to unlocking the climbing puzzles maybe not as much as technical downhills, but significantly more than I ever have.
