Lowering The Bar: Did Keegan Swenson Just Retake The FKT On The 100 Mile White Rim Trail?

With much of professional mountain bike racing on hold a new type of solo competition has emerged called “Fastest Know Time” with the 100-mile White Rim Trail in Utah’s Canyonlands being one of the most coveted. Current U.S. Cross-Country National Champion Keegan Swenson was a former owner of the title until Payson McElveen, Quinn Simmons and then Peter Stetina (who took it in October 2020) lowered the time. Last week Swenson, who just joined a new team with Santa Cruz Bicycles, SRAM, Maxxis and Rapha, returned to the location to try and reclaim his crown. As your Monday motivation to get out and ride this week Monster Energy uploaded this video detailing his effort. Did he get it? You’ll have to watch and find out!
