The Deerfield Dirt Road Randonnée (D2R2) is one of the oldest gravel events in the country. First run in 2005, long before gravel was a thing, this event is still respected as one of the best in the country. This year was no exception.
Here is one visual perspective of D2R2. A beautiful part of New England. Thoughtful event. Memorable roads. Interesting bikes. Tired riders.
Fantastic shots, Rob. You perfectly capture the calm of the non-pedaling bits.
Jeff: Thanks! I have a lot of riding shots, but I figured that’s what everyone expects, so I wanted to show some of the other stuff.
Nice pics – thanks! Bummed I missed it….
Dan: It was a good one. Perfect weather. Of course, every running of D2E2 is good. Next year will be no exception. Maybe we’ll see you there!
Beautiful photos. The pics make me feel like I was there while concurrently have me feeling like I missed out on a gorgeous ride.
PK: I’m glad you like the photos. It’s such a beautiful part of the state, and so much going on that it’s easy to get good shots. Twist Robot’s arm and he might post more!
Great photos Rob! Thank you.
Robot – if Rob has more photos, I’d love to see them on this site. It was a great day but so much happens at D2R2 that it’s fun to see the big picture. I rode the 110k with a friend and really enjoyed it! Ok, the deep sand excepted…
