I keep tabs on Gee Atherton, mainly because his eponymous bike company is based in Machynlleth in Wales, near my family home. Basically, I’m a fan of anyone who is investing in that area of the world. The Atherton family are also mountain bike royalty. Gee has made a long series of videos where he rides things that shouldn’t be ridden, and this little clip is no exception.
Storm Darragh ravaged the Welsh coast last December, leaving wrecked forest in its wake. For this edit, Gee and crew built a line through the worst hit section of woods. It’s what my friends and I call “sphinctery” riding. I can’t even imagine conceiving and then riding this line.
Enjoy!
